Thursday, 20th June, 2024

In a significant step towards global environmental responsibility, JIT Corporation has expanded its operations to India, the world's most populous country. In May 2023, we proudly established "JIT Yamanashi India Pvt Ltd." With India’s population currently at 1.43 billion and expected to reach 1.7 billion by 2050, this new venture underscores our commitment to sustainable practices on a global scale. Since 1991, JIT has been a leader in Japan, focusing on collecting used ink cartridges and empty ink tanks, and manufacturing and selling recycled ink. Our goal is to bring this expertise to India, enhancing urban environments and promoting the benefits of our collection boxes to the Indian community.

In an exciting development, JIT has partnered with the Delhi Metro to place collection boxes at 15 metro stations across the city. This agreement, signed on June 20th, is a testament to our dedication to sustainability and environmental improvement. Recognized by JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency), this initiative is part of a larger effort to reduce plastic waste and foster a circular economy in India under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Our journey in India has involved close collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, various corporations, and local communities in New Delhi. By integrating into India’s cultural and environmental landscape, we have placed collection boxes in schools, public facilities, and electronics stores, actively collecting used ink cartridges and empty ink tanks to pave the way for a greener future.
